The Bad Skincare Habits You Need To Break Immediately

Skincare habits can be the reason why you do or do not see results with your routine. No one is perfect and sometimes skincare can get confusing, but there are some things you should never make a habit of.

After lots of research, we’re breaking down some of the worst skincare habits you could have. If you’re guilty of any of these, it just takes a few small tweaks to your routine to get your skin back on the right path.

Not Moisturizing Right Away

clean skin One of the most luxurious parts of your skincare routine is applying your Repair & Release Cream. The smooth texture of it as it glides on your face is just about as good as it gets! What may be shocking is that when and how you apply your cream is going to make all the difference in the results you see.

To get the most benefit from your moisturizer, it’s important that it is applied while your face is still damp after washing with your Lavender Oil Cleanser. This is the time when pores are open and most likely to benefit from all the peptides in your Repair & Release Cream. If you are waiting even 30 minutes before applying your moisturizer, it could explain why you haven’t been seeing the results you desire.

Not Protecting Your Skin

rub to hard Our skin is exposed to more elements a day than any other organ in our bodies. That’s why it’s so important to make sure you do what you can to protect it. One of the most damaging things your skin can be exposed to are UV rays and sun protection should be top of mind no matter what time of year it is.

In summer months, we recommend using a 50 SPF protection to make sure your skin is safe and sound when the sun is at its strongest. You’ll also want to opt for a hat as often as possible to protect the delicate skin on your face. As you transition sun protection into fall and winter, you can opt for a lower 30 SPF, but make sure you’re still diligent about re-applying it. Sunscreen is great at protecting your skin from harmful free radicals that cause aging, but if you only apply it in the mornings, it won’t be much help.

Not Washing Your Makeup Off

Stay consistent Nothing will cause more damage to your skin than going to sleep without removing your makeup. Makeup is made of oils and sometimes even chemicals, which will seep into your pores if left on overnight. Not only can it cause skin infections, breakouts, and sensitivity, but it will make wrinkles even worse!

The best way to keep your skin face is to wash your face thoroughly with your Lavender Oil Cleanser before bed. To get your face clean, you used to have to use a toxic makeup remover followed by a traditional cleanser which is extra drying. Now, you can replace both steps by simply using your Lavender Oil Cleanser which melts off makeup and helps hydrate your skin so it glows! It also digs deep to make sure your pores are free and clear of any bacteria, dirt or leftover makeup.
