Dr Ryan's Mailbag: What Should I Get My Friend For Christmas? Plus More...

Hello, there! It’s Dr. Ryan here, and I have a little surprise this Friday…
Today I’m bringing you a special Christmas edition Mailbag! I’ll be answering two questions from customers who need help with their skincare - with a Christmas twist. Are you ready?

My First question of the day comes from Diane Birmingham, AL.

Q: Hi Dr. Ryan! My friend wants fillers but they are so expensive and she can’t afford them. For her Christmas present this year, I want to buy her a skincare product that’s just as good as fillers but not so pricey. Do you have any suggestions?

filler alternatives

A: Hi Diane, what a great idea for a Christmas present! Your friend is so lucky to have someone in her life like you. I have a great suggestion to help you find the perfect gift for her…

As you probably know, fillers can get really expensive. Not only are they tough to be able to afford, but getting a needle stuck in your face isn’t the most comfortable either!

When it comes to these procedures, I always try to recommend ingredients that work just like fillers but aren’t as painful or pricey.

The first ingredient I’ll recommend to you is Soluble Collagen. This amazing ingredient is so great because it can work just like a filler!

It helps to decrease fine lines and wrinkles by plumping the skin and the before and after results can be quite staggering!

In fact - you may have noticed that I launched a new product recently that contains this ingredient…

My Collagen Filler Serum!

When we were formulating this product in the lab, we were looking for a solution for people just like your friend who weren’t willing or able to get fillers.

We added a lot of great plumping ingredients to help get rid of deep wrinkles that can stick out like a sore thumb in your complexion, and so far, everyone has fallen in love with their results!

Needless to say, I think your friend will love the Collagen Filler Serum. After all, she’s exactly the type of person we created it for!

My next question comes from Suzanne in Whittaker, AK.

Q: Hello Dr. Ryan! I’m shopping for a Christmas present for myself this year (as I do every year!), but the problem is that my skin type has changed a lot over the years. I’m worried about getting something that my skin will start to hate after a while. What can I do?

skincare for all types

A:  Hello Suzanne! I think it’s fabulous that you’re treating yourself this Christmas. It’s such a great idea that maybe I’ll do the same! As for your question, I have an easy fix that you’ll love…

It’s not uncommon for your skin to change as you age. Of course, all the usual changes come in the form of wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin.

What people don’t usually consider is that it’s likely that your skin type will also change at some point in your life.

I’ve known people who had incredibly oily skin as a teenager and suddenly their complexion became dry as a desert!

This can be a frustrating change to go through because it sometimes means that the skincare products that used to work wonders for you are no longer doing the trick.

I have one simple rule that can fix this…

Stick to skincare products that are perfect for all skin types!

By doing this, you can be certain that no matter what changes your skin goes through, your products won’t have to change with it.

This is actually one of the reasons why I made my South Beach Skin Lab line great for everyone to use.

It would be awful to see a customer who loves my product have to stop using it if their skin type changed, so I made sure that would never be a problem.

As we age, there are so many different problems that you have to deal with when it comes to your complexion, and your skin type shouldn’t be one of them!

I hope this helped, Suzanne. I can’t wait to see what you treat yourself with this Christmas!
